How to Use Branded Products to Promote Social Distancing

Social distancing is still as important as when the pandemic first started. Businesses have pivoted their structures and how they are marketing to their audiences. Support relevant causes to show your audience you care for them and your employees. Use branded products in innovative ways to promote social distancing.

E-Learning Giveaway

It is back-to-school season, and many schools across the United States are opting for online-only learning for their students. This is difficult for students, no matter what age they are. Consider supporting local schools during this hard time. Wireless earbuds are popular right now and would be helpful to students when they are listening to a lecture.

Since many students cannot play sports or attend a real gym class, consider customizing products that encourage them to stay active. Socially distant sports include frisbee, golf, and baseball. Another way to motivate them to workout is with a jump rope, yoga mat, or water bottle.

Colored Bracelets

A new way to use color-coded bracelets is by having each person wear a specific colored bracelet every day around the office. This shows others around them how close they feel comfortable with interacting. Each color represents a feeling about social distancing. For example:

Red bracelet: Keeping my distance

Yellow bracelet: Comfortable to talk

Green bracelet: Okay with high-fives

Hands-Free Keychains

Prevent germs from spreading around surfaces that are touched by many people like elevator buttons and doors. Hands-free keychains are small and convenient enough for someone to bring it with them all day. Consider passing these out to customers as they enter your business to show them you are taking extra precautions.

Casual Apparel

Use branded casual apparel to encourage people to stay home. Add fun sayings to a hoodie or t-shirt that will promote social distancing. “Stay home, save lives,” “keep your distance,” and “six feet please” are some ideas to get you started!

Baseball hats are another way to print a fun socially distant message on. If someone is wearing the hat while in a Zoom call or Facetiming their friend, it sparks a conversation. This means more exposure for your business.

Remote Work Support

Employees have become accustomed to working from home during the pandemic. Send them a thoughtful gift to show them that you and your company cares. This can be something simple like chocolates or a branded mouse pad. Relaxation coloring books for adults can be helpful to their mental health during this time.

Stay Socially Distant

Stay innovative and creative throughout the pandemic! Branded products are fun ways to promote social distancing outside of the typical social media posts and digital advertising. These products show that your business is thoughtful and cares about their customers.

Skylight Creative hopes that you are staying safe. We offer a ton of products that you can use to promote social distancing. If you have questions or want to learn more about Skylight Creative, call us at 410.879.8401 or contact us on the website.

5 of the Most Unique Face Masks: Vote For Your Favorite

As the COVID-19 pandemic affects people across the United States, people are continuing to wear masks to stop the spread. Masks are recommended and even mandated to wear in some areas.

Cloth masks are the most popular right now because they are the most accessible. Companies are manufacturing cloth masks, while other small businesses are hand-making them. People are becoming more accustomed to wearing masks, so businesses are getting creative with their designs and patterns.

Here are the top five most unique face masks we have found. Be sure to vote on your favorite mask below!

1. Sports Team Masks

A great way to show support for your favorite sports team this year is to wear a mask with their colors or logo on it. There is still not a definite answer on if fans may attend amateur or professional sporting events in person this year. If you cannot wear your mask to a sporting event in person, you can still wear it while you are out in public. Represent your favorite baseball team with these MLB facemasks by EverLastingBelts

2. Animal Lover Masks

People love to show off how much they care about their pets. One way they can do that is by sporting a mask with cat or dog whiskers on it. Other businesses are also making masks with paw prints and wild animal patterns. AngelsHealingHeart on Etsy sells these adorable dog surfing masks.

3. Selfie Masks

One of the most comical face masks are ones that are printed with your own face right on them. This gives the illusion that you are not even wearing a mask. Danielle Baskin from Maskalike prints your face onto cloth masks that look realistic!

4. Emoji Masks

Stand out with your favorite emoji on a face mask. Choose a face that represents your everyday emotions. The laugh cry mask by KiddoMasks will be sure to spread positivity to those around you!

What are the Differences Between Masks for COVID-19?

Staying healthy is more important than ever in the time of COVID-19. In fact, to help curb the spread of this incredibly contagious virus, many states across the nation are requiring citizens to wear masks anytime they go into a public place. You may have heard, though, that not all masks for COVID-19 are created equal. It’s important to understand the differences in these masks before you run out and purchase your first order – or, more likely right now, click the “Add to Cart” button. This guide can help you select the best masks for you and your employees!

Cloth Masks

Right now, many people are having a hard time getting their hands on surgical or N95 masks. Because of this, there has been a strong uptick of people sewing cloth masks at home, generally using cotton quilt fabric.

Although these masks are better than nothing, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, they aren’t ideal for blocking virus transmission. In fact, wearing one of these masks does more for the people around you than it does for you. If you have a cough or are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, wearing this type of mask can help contain your germs.

However, if you can get your hands on a better mask, it’s highly recommended since these are usually about ½ as effective as a surgical mask.

Surgical Masks

Surgical masks are essentially disposable versions of reusable cloth masks. They work similarly in that they protect other people from the germs of the wearer. While these masks work twice as well as cloth masks, they still don’t stand up to viruses like COVID-19 very well.

There are three different ratings for surgical masks, depending on risk of exposure to bodily fluids. If you only have access to surgical masks during this pandemic, you’ll want to go with the highest level of protection to avoid spreading this virus.

Respirators

By far, the most ideal mask for preventing the spread of COVID-19 is a respirator. These types of masks come in a variety of standards. The most common ones you’ll hear about in reference to the novel coronavirus, though, are N95, KN95, and FFP.

N95 and KN95 Masks

N95 and KN95 masks are equally protective. The only real difference is that KN95 is the Chinese standard for respirators as opposed to American standards. The important part is that they both block about 95% of airborne particles, significantly reducing your chances of catching COVID-19. These are the types of masks that most medical professionals are using right now.

FFP1, FFP2, and FFP3

Of these masks, FFP3 masks have the top filtration rating, preventing up to 99% of particles from breaking through the barrier. FFP2 are similar to N95 and KN95 masks with a 94% filtration rate.
